Together with Dream B.I.G. at the U of A, the Associate Student Government (ASG) Freshman Leadership Forum is hosting a 5K to promote positive self-image, esteem, and confidence, particularly in adolescent girls. Join us and let’s make “like a girl” mean amazing things on Saturday, March 5 at 10:00 AM at the Pi Phi Gate to run to support Dream Big and positive self-image of girls everywhere!

The cost of the race is $10.00 paid in exact change (non-refundable cash or check made out to Associated Student Government only). Participants will register at the link below, then bring payment to the Office of Student Activities, Arkansas Union A665, between 9 am-4 pm Monday – Friday between February 22 and March 4. The registration process is not complete until participants pay and receive a bib. Participants should bring a copy of the confirmation email to the office in order to pay, sign a release waiver, and pick up the race bib. The entry fee for individuals who do not complete the process prior to March 4 will be $20 (exact change required; cash only) at the race site on March 5.

T-Shirts:

Event t-shirts are being sold for $15 from B-Unlimited, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to Dream B.I.G. If you would like to order a shirt, the link will close Sunday, February 28th at 11:59pm. T-shirts will be distributed the morning of the race.

Race Day:

As the cost of the event will double on the day of, we highly encourage you to sign up in advance. However, we understand not everyone will be able to make it to the OSA Office to pay and sign their waiver. If you need to sign up the day of the event, or need to pick up your t-shirts, you can do so starting at 9:00 am by the Pi Phi Gate.

Dream B.I.G.:

Dream B.IG. (Believing In Girls) is a student-led girl empowerment program of the Volunteer Action Center. U of A student serve a mentors to 6-7th grade girls from a partnership school in Arkansas. Mentors facilitate monthly education sessions with girls and host an overnight empowerment camp in the spring. Dream B.I.G. strives to promote self-esteem, goal-setting, team work, pursuit of higher education, and motivation to succeed and overcome challenges.
