Registered student organizations are invited to nominate students for the 2017 Homecoming Court through noon Friday, Sept. 15. Homecoming Court consists of seven Razorback men and seven Razorback women. From this court, students will vote on a Homecoming Queen and Homecoming King. All candidates must be nominated by a RSO.

How to Nominate a Candidate

RSOs must complete the new registration or re-registration process for 2017-18 prior to the closing of Homecoming Court applications. Each RSO can nominate up to three candidates for the Queen’s Court and three candidates for the King’s Court. Each candidate can only be nominated by one RSO. Each nominee must meet co-curricular eligibility requirements.

Applications for both men and women must be accompanied with a resume. Applications for King’s Court can be found on HogSync here and for Queen’s Court here. Applications are due by noon Friday, Sept. 15. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted.

Candidate Review and Interview Process

The 2017 Homecoming Queen’s and King’s Court applications will be reviewed and the top 20 male and female applicants will be notified on Thursday, Sept. 28. These 20 men and 20 women will be asked to sign up for a slot in the interview process. Interviews will be conducted Oct. 2-3 in Arkansas Union A640. The top 12 Queen’s and King’s candidates will be announced Oct. 6 at the Top 20 Reception at the Hembree Alumni House. The top 12 will participate in a second round of interviews Oct. 10-11 at the Hembree Alumni House. A mandatory Top 12 Candidate Orientation will be also conducted in Arkansas Union 503 from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11.

Homecoming Court Announcement and Election

The 2017 Homecoming King’s & Queen’s Court will be announced between 8 p.m. and midnight on Friday, Oct. 20, at the sixth annual Chancellor’s Ball held at the Fayetteville Town Center. Elections for King and Queen will be conducted from 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, through 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at asg.uark.edu/elections. The Court will appear in a parade on Friday, Nov. 3, and the Homecoming Queen and King will be announced at the Homecoming Pep Rally following the parade. The Homecoming Court will be honored at the Homecoming football game on Saturday, Nov. 4.
